A fantastic day for Warrington Rylands U12s Madrid, who were crowned Europa Cup champions in Radcliffe earlier today.
The boys faced a tough group stage and endured a slow start to the tournament, but they showed great character to battle through and find their rhythm as the competition progressed.
Once into the knockout stages, Madrid really found their form. A closely fought semi-final saw the team edge their way through to the final, where they produced their best performance of the day, running out 3–0 winners to lift the trophy.
It was a thoroughly deserved victory and a brilliant reward for the hard work, determination and teamwork shown throughout the tournament.
