Joe Riley

A vastly experienced player with an outstanding footballing pedigree, Joe Riley brings quality, leadership and professionalism to Warrington Rylands. A graduate of Manchester United's renowned Academy, Riley progressed through the youth ranks before making his senior debut for the club in the FA Cup, gaining invaluable experience alongside some of the game's top talents. Following his time at Old Trafford, Riley built an impressive career across the Football League and National League. Spells with Sheffield United, Bradford City, Carlisle United and Rochdale saw him make over 150 EFL appearances, while more recently he has been a key figure for AFC Fylde, combining defensive solidity with composure in possession and an eye for creating opportunities from wide areas. Predominantly a right-back, Riley is equally comfortable operating further forward or in midfield thanks to his technical ability, tactical awareness and excellent delivery. His calm presence on the ball, combined with his experience at the highest levels of the English game outside the Premier League, makes him a valuable asset both on and off the pitch. Now bringing his wealth of experience to Warrington Rylands, Riley adds leadership, versatility and a winning mentality to the squad as the club continues to build for the future.
