Neil Reynolds

Neil Reynolds is an experienced and respected football manager whose leadership, passion and commitment to attacking football have made him a key figure in Warrington Rylands’ recent progress. Appointed First Team Manager in September 2024, Reynolds brought with him a wealth of non-league experience and a proven track record of developing competitive, hard-working teams. Born in Preston, Reynolds enjoyed a successful playing career as a midfielder, representing clubs including Plymouth Argyle, Darwen and Bamber Bridge. His time at Bamber Bridge proved particularly memorable, helping the club secure promotion from the North West Counties League and establishing himself as a popular and influential figure both on and off the pitch. Following his retirement from playing, Reynolds moved into coaching and management, taking charge of Bamber Bridge in 2016. During his spell at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium, he guided the club to Northern Premier League Cup success and further enhanced his reputation as one of the game’s most promising young managers. His achievements earned him a move to FC United of Manchester, where he spent six years in charge and oversaw one of the most competitive periods in the club’s recent history. Since arriving at Warrington Rylands, Reynolds has worked tirelessly to build a squad capable of competing at the highest level of the Northern Premier League. Known for his emphasis on positive football, strong team spirit and close connection with supporters, he quickly instilled belief within the dressing room and helped guide the club away from a difficult start to the season. Under Reynolds’ leadership, Rylands continued to make significant progress, culminating in a play-off final appearance during his first full season in charge. His impact was further recognised when he committed his long-term future to the club by signing a three-year contract extension, underlining the shared ambition between manager and club.
