Niall Battersby

Our newest signing of the 2026/27 season, Niall joins the Blues following his departure from Atherton Collieries, where he made over 100 appearances. A versatile and dependable defender, Niall arrives at Warrington Rylands with a wealth of Northern Premier League experience and a reputation for consistency and commitment. Comfortable at both centre-back and full-back, he combines defensive resilience with composure on the ball and an excellent reading of the game. Battersby joins the Blues after making more than 100 appearances across two spells with Atherton Collieries and played a key role in Widnes FC's Northern Premier League West Division title-winning campaign in 2024/25. His previous experience with clubs including Bury, Ashton United and Northwich Victoria has helped shape him into a reliable and competitive defender who brings leadership and versatility to the Rylands back line.
