The Blues are back in league action this weekend as we welcome Matlock Town to The Hive Arena in a Pitching In Northern Premier League fixture.
After last weekend’s disappointing result to bottom of the table Bradford Park Avenue the lads will be keen to get the win. Rylands currently sit 4th in the table and 15th in the form guide after just one victory in our last 6 matches, drawing 3 and losing 2. Meanwhile Matlock currently sit 14th in the table and 9th in the form guide after 3 wins and 3 losses in recent outings.
This game will be just the third meeting between the two sides, Matlock twice getting the better of The Blues last season as we were beaten 4-2 at home and 2-1 away. The reverse of this fixture back in September saw us come home from Derbyshire with 3-points after a 4-2 victory thanks to goals from Ben Hough, Scott Bakkor and a double from Adama Sidibeh.
