RYLANDS SALVAGE POINT WITH SECOND HALF COMEBACK

Two nil down at half time, Warrington Rylands produced an impressive second half fight back to snatch a point at a cold wind swept Borough Park to maintain our unbeaten away league record.

Workington took the lead in the 19th minute when David Symington finished off a good move before he added a second goal in the 28th minute with a screamer from 30 yards.

Symington went close to completing his hat-trick in the first half hitting the post with another effort and forcing Rylands goalkeeper Luke Pilling into a smart save before the half time whistle blew.

The second half started with Mo Touray striking the woodwork, and nine minutes later the back of the net with a header.

A clearance by Workington goalkeeper Jim Atkinson was intercepted in the build up to Rylands equaliser in the 73rd minute, captain James Neild fired home a smart finish after the home side had failed to clear their lines.

Both sides had their chances to claim the three points with Rylands having to twice clear off their line in a frantic finale to ensure they returned home from Cumbria with a share of the points.
